About the Conference

We’re Excited to Reunite the Preventive Medicine Profession

ACPM’s annual meeting, Preventive Medicine, is always an opportunity for preventive medicine and public health physicians together to share ideas, opportunities and inspiration. After two years of virtual meetings, we are optimistic that we will be able to gather in person in 2022. Register now to attend Preventive Medicine 2022 and forge relationships that will last the course of your career, reconnect with colleagues after two pandemic-stricken years and see where the future of preventive medicine is heading.

In 2022, the meeting will focus on the science, evidence and analysis that informs preventive medicine practice. As new data capture tools become available and previously overlooked areas of inquiry are recognized, our understanding of preventive medicine interventions and their potential impact grows and drives our profession into the future. Featuring plenary session on COVID-19’s Impact on Clinical Preventive Services, Gun Violence Prevention, Communications for Evidence-Based Impact, Business and Medicine and The Impact of Cannabis on Public Health, Preventive Medicine 2022 will be looking into the evidence that informs how prevention is practiced today.

COVID-19 Safety Measures

In order to provide the safest conference environment possible, ACPM is monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 situation closely and following all recommended precautions provided by the CDC. Thus, ACPM has outlined the COVID-19 protocols for our in-person annual meeting, including the conference vaccination and mask policy.

Attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination for entry into the event. ACPM is following the CDC guidelines to define whether you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines. Attendees will also be required to wear a face mask in public spaces at all times throughout the conference, except when eating and drinking. Presenters will also be able to remove their masks when speaking. Attendees are encouraged to wear the most effective masks they can tolerate, preferably N-95 masks.

PCR tests will not be required for PM22 participation. Attendees who become symptomatic will be required to seek COVID-19 testing at a nearby site. No testing will be provided on-site. Anyone who tests positive will be required to contact ACPM staff and follow CDC guidelines regarding self-isolation. ACPM will then communicate this potential exposure to all associated attendees.

To expedite the registration process, please consider uploading your vaccination card to the CLEAR Health Pass, a free feature in the CLEAR mobile app, prior to the conference. More information on downloading the CLEAR app and uploading your proof of vaccination can be found in our FAQs section on the conference website.
